Saundra has worked with the Karnas Law Firm for the last 15 years and now serves as the firm’s Comptroller. She manages the firm’s cash flow, client settlements and lien resolutions. She works closely with attorneys and staff to provide clients with the best possible financial outcome after settling their claim.
Growing up in Tucson, Saundra’s home was filled with books and learning. Her mother was a bookkeeper for a non-profit and Saundra spent her summer vacations posting to journals and general ledgers while practicing her violin and playing numerous sports. Saturday mornings were spent with her mother delivering meals to shut-ins through Meals on Wheels.
But it was her attendance at Girl’s State in 1980 and meeting former governor Rose Mofford that she became fascinated by the law and governance. It was this meeting with the first woman governor that inspired Saundra to begin her life-long commitment to excellence, integrity, women in leadership and continuing education.
Saundra was granted a full scholarship from the University of Arizona (UofA) School of Music where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance. Soon after graduating from the UofA, she received her Masters in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She spent many years in small business management, real estate and accounting before coming to work full-time for the Karnas Law Firm. In 2013, she received a Masters in Forensic Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
Her passion for the Law and personal rights have kept Saundra engaged at the Karnas Law Firm for many years. She complements the Karnas Law attorneys with her accounting and lien resolution skills. There is nothing more satisfying to Saundra than reaching a net settlement for a client that exceeds their expectations.
